McLaren and TDK forge high-performance, eco-friendly alliance

McLaren Racing, a British motor racing team, has announced a new partnership with TDK Corporation, a global leader in electronics and technology solutions.

This partnership leverages TDK’s extensive expertise in electric vehicle (EV) technology, marking a notable commitment to advancing sustainable, high-performance motorsport.

Under the collaboration, TDK will provide advanced electronic components, including inverters and sensors, to McLaren‘s Formula E operations, with plans to incorporate these technologies into Nissan’s e-4ORCE 05 powertrain. These innovations are aimed at refining energy management systems and boosting vehicle efficiency for competitive and sustainable electric racing. As the industry pushes toward electrification, this alliance highlights McLaren’s continued focus on sustainable technology and high-performance racing, while offering TDK a platform to test and develop EV technologies in a competitive environment.
