The global logistics provider, DP World, has reaffirmed its role as the official logistics partner of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team, extending a partnership that continues to drive operational efficiency and supply chain innovation across one of motorsport’s most demanding global championships.
Originally launched in 2023, the collaboration sees DP World provide end-to-end logistics expertise to support McLaren’s Formula 1 operations throughout the season. The partnership goes beyond traditional sponsorship, with the company playing a critical role in the transportation of race cars, garage equipment, spare parts and essential infrastructure across the championship’s global calendar.
To mark the continuation of the relationship, McLaren Racing and DP World have unveiled a new campaign film showcasing the vital role logistics plays in Formula 1. The video highlights the meticulous planning, coordination and execution required behind the scenes to ensure the team can compete seamlessly at every race weekend, underlining how operational excellence off the track contributes directly to performance on it.
Since joining forces, the two organisations have collaborated on improving supply chain efficiency through multimodal transport solutions, enhanced freight planning and smarter logistics operations. The partnership also aligns with both organisations’ sustainability ambitions by exploring lower-carbon transportation methods and more efficient freight networks across Formula 1’s expanding international schedule.
As Formula 1 continues to grow with a record calendar spanning multiple continents, efficient logistics have become an increasingly important competitive advantage. Teams are required to transport thousands of individual components and tonnes of equipment between events while meeting tight operational timelines, making strategic logistics partnerships more valuable than ever.
For McLaren, DP World remains an integral part of a commercial portfolio that includes brands such as Mastercard, Cisco, Dell, and Google. The partnership demonstrates how Formula 1 sponsorships are increasingly evolving into technology- and expertise-led collaborations that deliver measurable operational value alongside global brand exposure.
The announcement comes as McLaren heads into the Formula 1 summer break on the back of Lando Norris‘ victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix. With the second half of the season still to come, the Woking-based outfit will look to build on its momentum as it continues its pursuit to defend both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championship titles, supported by a logistics network designed to keep the team operating at peak efficiency around the world.
