The 50th-anniversary celebration of Wankhede in Mumbai is a momentous occasion since the facility occupies a distinct place in Indian cricket history. Wankhede Stadium, which opened in 1974, has held many famous contests, including international cricket, Indian Premier League (IPL) games, and more.
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has scheduled a number of activities to honour the stadium’s history, such as special matches, tributes to former players, and more. The event will most likely feature Indian cricket icons, including those who played major roles in the stadium’s history. There are potential exhibits, memorabilia displays, and commemorations of individuals linked with the stadium’s achievements over the years.
