MatchTV signs broadcasting rights deal with Premier League in Russia

The deal has been signed for a span of six seasons which means that MatchTV will stream the league till the 2027/28 premier league season.

Russian state-owned sports channel Match TV, which was founded back in late 2015 announced their broadcasting rights deal with the English Premier League.

Hailed as one of the biggest and the best leagues in the world, the English Premier League never disappoints its fans, with the agreement of the broadcasting deal between MatchTV and the
Premier League, the English top-flight will be aired across Russia with the help of MatchTV.

It has been reported that the deal has been signed for a span of six seasons which means that MatchTV will stream the league till the 2027/28 premier league season with an always-present
option to extend.

MatchTV enhanced their illustrious portfolio even further as they also have the streaming rights of Bundesliga in Russia and the broadcasting rights of the UEFA Club competitions running until the 2023-24 season.

The Premier League invited a total of 40 biddings in April in many countries offering broadcasting rights for three or six seasons, the deal was landed by MatchTV and they will be broadcasting the league in Russia.

The deal will see MatchTV increasing its global outreach and gain massive viewership considering the fan following of the Premier League globally.

The Premier League kicks off on 14th August and will see Manchester City trying to defend their title as the reigning champions of the league.
