Tennis is gaining global popularity, with approximately 106 million individuals playing the sport globally, a 25% rise since 2019. The partnership began on Wednesday with an event at Mastercard’s Style of Our Own activation on Regent Street in London, which included tennis star Billie Jean King.

Mastercard has also become the inaugural partner of the Billie Jean King Cup Global Rankings and the ‘Team of the Year’ award, which recognises the team with the most enthusiasm, performance, and connection with the Billie Jean King Cup’s ideals.
