Marriott Bonvoy has been appointed official hotel supporter in North America for the FIFA World Cup 2026, confirming a wide-ranging partnership focused on delivering enhanced fan access and curated travel experiences across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The agreement has placed Marriott Bonvoy, the global travel programme of Marriott International, at the heart of the largest FIFA World Cup to date. With properties across all 16 host cities and a portfolio spanning more than 30 hotel brands, Marriott Bonvoy will play a central role in supporting the movement, accommodation and engagement of millions of travelling fans during the tournament.

A key pillar of the partnership is the expansion of Marriott Bonvoy Moments, the brand’s experiential rewards platform. Through Moments, members will be able to redeem loyalty points for exclusive FIFA World Cup 2026 experiences that go beyond hotel stays. While full details will be announced closer to kickoff, offerings are expected to include premium access, bespoke travel packages and one-of-a-kind fan activations linked to the tournament.

Peggy Roe, Chief Customer Officer at Marriott International, said, “For millions, soccer is a shared language, connecting families, communities and cultures across generations. In much the same way, travel shapes who we are, with the connections we create staying with us forever. Through Marriott Bonvoy, travellers gain access to experiences that deepen these bonds, turning meaningful moments into lasting memories for our members. The FIFA World Cup 2026 is without question going to be one of those landmark moments for so many people, and as a lifelong travel partner, Marriott Bonvoy will welcome fans throughout this historic tournament with the warmth of our properties and the power of our travel program, showing up as your travel companion every step of the journey.”

FIFA Secretary General, Mattias Grafström, added, “We are delighted to welcome Marriott Bonvoy as our Official Hotel Supporter for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Marriott’s extensive collection of hotels across Canada, Mexico and the United States will provide record numbers of domestic and international fans travelling to enjoy the game-changing tournament with great hotel options throughout June and July, adding to their experience as they get set to support their team in the stadium or make new friends at a FIFA Fan Festival.”

Beyond loyalty rewards, Marriott Bonvoy plans to activate its hotels as experiential hubs throughout the tournament. Selected properties will feature themed stays, in-hotel programming and social spaces designed to reflect the atmosphere and cultural identity of the World Cup in each host city. These activations are intended to position hotels as gathering points for supporters, extending the event experience beyond stadiums.

The partnership also integrates Marriott Bonvoy more deeply into FIFA’s global commercial ecosystem, reflecting a broader shift toward utility-led sponsorships that prioritise fan experience over traditional brand exposure. By combining travel, accommodation and live event engagement, the collaboration underscores the growing role of hospitality brands as experiential partners in major global events.

In parallel, Marriott Bonvoy will collaborate with Visa, a long-standing FIFA Partner, to deliver joint fan and customer experiences globally during the tournament, further extending the reach of the activation beyond North America.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is expected to be the most ambitious edition in the tournament’s history, featuring 48 teams, 104 matches, three host countries and 16 host cities. With more than six million fans projected to attend matches and an estimated six billion people expected to engage worldwide, the tournament will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026, marking a defining moment for global sport and international travel alike.
