MansionBet steps down as Bristol City’s main sponsor

The decision follows the betting brand's announcement that it will cease operations on March 31.

The EFL Championship club, Bristol City FC have announced that the betting company, MansionBet will step down as the club’s main sponsor at the end of the month.

The decision follows the betting brand’s announcement that it will cease operations on March 31, as Mansion Group plans to focus solely on its casino brands.

After forming an alliance in August 2020 for the EFL Championship club’s front-of-shirt sponsorship, the gambling company gained recognition for its ‘One Team in Bristol’ campaign during the 2021-22 season.

Moreover, fans who have open accounts with MansionBet have been advised that they can log in to their accounts and withdraw funds as usual until April 28.

The club will, however, continue to wear MansionBet on the front of its first team shirts until the end of the current season, and has thanked the company for its support over the last two seasons.

In a release, Bristol City stated, “The club will continue to wear MansionBet on the front of its first team shirts until the end of the current campaign and thanks MansionBet for its support over the last two seasons.”

The firm added, “After April 28th 2022, if an open bet has not been settled, customers will receive their stake back. Should the bet win, customers will also receive winnings through a manual payment. This will continue until April 28th 2023 to ensure the safety of players’ funds and existing bets.”

Likewise, Bristol City’s rival Millwall FC had the company as its back-of-shirt sponsor for the 2020/21 season.

MansionBet also expanded its partnership with Sky Sports Racing last year to include sponsorship of all the US racing broadcast by the media network.
