Manchester United FC, the Premier League (PL) giant, have inked a sponsorship extension with DHL, the German logistics powerhouse.
As per the deal, the brand will remain the club’s official logistics partner until 2027.
The collaboration, which started in 2011, is based on a shared desire to promote positive change in the global communities that the two groups serve. The deal will further continue to develop the campaign ‘A World United’, which will include fresh goals and a new rallying cry, ‘United for One Goal’.
The ‘United for One Goal’ campaign combines the strength of sport and business to assist in creating a more environmentally friendly and sustainable world. This will happen by acknowledging fans and local heroes who make an impact in their communities, whether by serving worthy causes or influencing positive change by means of grassroots initiatives.
The ‘United for One Goal’ recognition program will accept deserving nominations that uphold the alliance’s values of productivity, teamwork, sustainability, and high performance. Reward opportunities include autographed Manchester United memorabilia, Old Trafford game tickets, and the chance to play on the famed pitch at the Theatre of Dreams.
Omar Berrada, Chief Executive Officer, Manchester United, said, “We are delighted to continue our longstanding relationship with DHL. We share many years of positive impactful work, and this will continue globally through ‘United for One Goal’. The longevity of the partnership is down to our shared values and our ambitions to use our global influence to drive positive change in local communities.”
DHL, the world’s top express and logistics firm, has been a Manchester United partner for 13 years and provides an extensive variety of products and services to the club’s global fan base.
John Pearson, CEO DHL Express, said, “The shared values of our partnership with Manchester United continue to go from strength to strength – engaging, connecting and inspiring a fan base which is truly global. We are so pleased to be continuing the longstanding partnership with Manchester United; in this next phase we will look to combine the global power of both brands to connect people and improve lives whilst delivering a better world.”
A while back, the unit also partnered with Konami and Qualcomm.
