Manchester United confirms Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to the club from Juventus

Ronaldo was signed by Juventus in the year 2018 for 100 million euros.

The Premier League side Manchester United have decided to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo from the Serie A club Juventus. The club made the news official on Friday with the deal subject to the agreement of personal terms, medical and visa.

The legendary Portugal football player has won eight major trophies with the club from 2003-2009. The financial terms haven’t been disclosed yet but the British and Italian media said Manchester United would buy Ronaldo for 25 million euros for two years.

Ronaldo was signed by Juventus in the year 2018 for 100 million euros ($117.90 million) from Real Madrid. The 36-year-old will leave Juventus with 101 goals to his name along with two league crowns and a Coppa Italia.

In 2008, Ronaldo won Ballon d’Or as the world’s best player at United along with his team accolades. The forward was sold to Real Madrid for a world-record deal of 80 million pounds at the time.

The Portugal player told his desire of leaving Juventus on Thursday, worldwide media believed Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, had finalised a deal with Manchester City.

Later, City reversed its decision of signing Ronaldo and rivals United officiated the transfer agreement.
