Premier League champions Manchester City have joined hands with British School Jakarta to launch their first Manchester City Football School in Indonesia. The club’s latest academy will provide its services to young footballers who aspire to become professionals.
Manchester City are a financial powerhouse and their world-class coaches will provide their knowledge to students by using state-of-art facilities of BSJ which includes both natural and 4G pitches and indoor and outdoor amenities.
Jorgina Busquets, Managing Director – Football Education & Recreation for City Football Group, commented, “It is a pleasure to be opening our first Man City Football School in Indonesia with British School of Jakarta. BSJ stood out to us from the beginning because of their unrelentless pursuit of quality and focus on providing the highest well-rounded education for their students.”
She also added that this is an opportunity for the students and they want to develop them so that they can play for the club’s first team in future.
Principal of British School Jakarta, David Butcher also gave his insight about this collaborative effort and said they are proud to announce this partnership with the club. He further added that the campus of the school has superb coaching facilities and students will flourish in the years to come.
The football school will open in September 2021 and the club will begin its expansion programme from next year. City will also provide a full-time coach as part of BSJ and will run its operations at the school.
Recently, Manchester City announced a deal with Dubai Expo 2020 to amplify brand presence around the globe.
The new season of Premier League will begin from 14th August and Manchester City will play their first game against Tottenham Hotspur.
