Manchester City announce partnership renewal with NEXEN TIRE

This renewal will take the partnership between Manchester City and NEXEN TIRE into its fourth term. 

The Premier League (PL) team, Manchester City have announced a partnership renewal with the South Korean tyre brand, NEXEN TIRE. This renewal will take this esteemed association into its fourth term. 

This extension of the multi-year agreement will see the two parties in this collaboration commemorating a decade-long successful partnership during which the club has won 12 major trophies, including four EPL titles.

There will be a change in the activation strategy for the Korean tyre company, as the branding of the entity will no longer feature on the playing kit. NEXEN is looking forward to focusing on its brand identity, “We Got You”, displaying its devotion to being with its fans and partners, putting more emphasis on digital activations, creative content, and increased localisation for the target markets. 

NEXEN branding will remain on the team bus and across the bridge between the Etihad Stadium and City Football Academy this summer as the Manchester City men’s first team travels to the company’s home country, South Korea. The tyre company has previously been active on pre-season tours.

The partnership has grown to include sponsorships of the Elite Development Squad as well as the men’s and women’s teams since its inception in 2015. NEXEN likewise filled in as the title supporter for the Manchester City Cup, a young soccer competition in the US, as well as launching esports games and participating in the Cityzens giving people group projects.

The defending champions of the Premier League have currently secured the top spot on the points table. The Sky Blues will now be facing Everton in their upcoming game on Sunday, May 14.
