Major League Cricket (MLC), the United States’ professional T20 league, has announced a sponsorship agreement with one of the leading automotive brands, Lexus.
As part of the deal, the brand has become the automotive partner for the league’s highly anticipated second season.
Vijay Srinivasan, CEO of MLC, said, “We are excited to welcome Lexus as the Automotive Partner of Major League Cricket. Their reputation for unparalleled luxury and commitment to their customers aligns perfectly with our vision for the league. Together, we look forward to delivering an exceptional experience to cricket fans across the nation.”
The new deal calls for Lexus to be included in broadcast and on-field content all season long. The brand will also be promoted through fan communications and MLC digital media.
David Telfer, Head of Lexus Advertising & Media, said, “Partnering with Major League Cricket offers Lexus the opportunity to reach a new diverse fanbase with a brand that shares an unwavering commitment to performance, customer experience, and their fans. We’re committed to growing with MLC during its second season to elevate the presence of the U.S. team and engage with new fans.”
Earlier this month, MLC also collaborated with Remitly, a leading digital money transfer service. Additionally, brands such as Cognizant, Royal, and Stake have also partnered with the league for the season ahead.
The second season of MLC is set to begin on July 5. Tickets for all games, which include the four playoffs, can be purchased online via the Major League Cricket website. In addition to world-class competitions, fans enjoy a variety of ticket options, with general admission tickets commencing at $30 per person.
The season’s enthusiasm goes beyond the field, with entertainment, fireworks, free giveaways, athlete signings and meet-and-greets, merchandise giveaways, food trucks, and samples throughout the tournament.
