Major League Cricket 2024: Sponsors Watch

With cricket gaining popularity in the US following the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, organisers also had an easy time attracting sponsors for the Major League Cricket 2024.

As the second season of the Cognizant Major League Cricket (MLC) approaches its conclusion, the competition has become increasingly competitive and heated.

Washington Freedom and San Francisco Unicorns have won five and three games, respectively, and have already qualified for the playoffs. Texas Super Kings are third with six points and will look to finish in the top two, while Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR), with five points, will aim to just win their last game and qualify.

The MLC’s second season has been a big success, both on and off the pitch. The promoters’ decision to broadcast the league in India simultaneously on Sony Sports Network and JioCinema proved to be a major hit. The fact that Indian Premier League (IPL) franchisee-owned teams are being televised on the former IPL broadcasting network is a call for nostalgia, which was a big smash.

MLC is rapidly becoming one of the world’s best T20 competitions, and it will undoubtedly develop more in the future. Additionally, players like Marcus StoinisKieron PollardAndre Russell, Sunil NarineQuinton de KockFaf du PlessisPat CumminsShakib Al Hasan and others are delivering their best in the competition and rightfully receiving deserving appreciation. Interestingly, the league had offered 500 more tickets for the final match owing to high demand.

With teams competing for the renowned trophy and cricket gaining popularity in the US following the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, organisers also had an easy time attracting sponsors for the T20 competition staged in the US.
