Mahindra Automotive becomes title sponsor of IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships

Following the partnership, Mahindra Automotives will support significant synergies, with the XUV300 TGDi and all-New-Thar appointed as the official SUVs of the tournament.

The Indian automobile entity, Mahindra Automotive has been announced as the title sponsor of the Women’s World Boxing Championship. The announcement was made by the Boxing Federation of India (BFI). 

The much-awaited boxing competition is all set to be played between March 15 – 26 at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi. Around 350 boxers from 74 countries are ready to participate in this marquee boxing championship.

Following the partnership, Mahindra Automotives will support significant synergies, with the XUV300 TGDi and all-New-Thar appointed as the official SUVs of the tournament. The automotive firm will be holding exciting competitions for customers to enjoy the sporting event.

Along with this, the legendary Indian Boxer MC Mary Kom and actor Farhan Akhtar have been appointed as brand ambassadors of the tournament. 

Mahindra Automotive is an Indian automobile company that is a profound name in its sector, producing a great range of SUVs, electric vehicles, pickups, and buses. The brand’s parent company is Mahindra & Mahindra, which is owned by the business tycoon, Anand Mahindra.

The association with these two youth icons will enhance the prestige of this World Championship and help in promoting the sport across the country. Farhan Akhtar said, “I am honoured and excited to be a part of such a prestigious event. It is a matter of personal pride that India is hosting the World Boxing Championship for Women. As an avid sport lover, I have followed the journey of our girls, cheered and applauded every time they brought glory to India in this sport!
