LVCVA strengthens ties with F1 as official partner

This strategic alliance is aimed to further elevate Las Vegas' status as the "Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World" by leveraging the immense global reach of F1.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has solidified its position as a global tourism powerhouse by teaming up with Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsport.

This strategic alliance is aimed to further elevate Las Vegas’ status as the “Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World” by leveraging the immense global reach of the premier motorsport series.

Building on the success of the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, which attracted a record-breaking audience of 59.3 million viewers and generated a substantial economic impact of nearly $1.5 billion, the extended partnership sees the LVCVA intensify its marketing efforts. The organization has a prominent presence at multiple F1 races throughout the season, including trackside branding and engaging fan activations.

Commenting on the partnership, Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer, Formula 1® and Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., said, “We are constantly pursuing unique and exciting ways to showcase the destinations in which we race and to demonstrate the value that our sport delivers economically, culturally and for the community. The LVCVA were instrumental in bringing Formula 1 to Las Vegas as a founding partner of the race, and we are thrilled to be expanding our relationship with them to continue to position Las Vegas as the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World.”

Steve Hill, President / CEO of LVCVA, added, “We are thrilled to elevate Las Vegas’ visibility by becoming an official partner of Formula 1. In recent years, Las Vegas has made tremendous strides in becoming the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World and partnering with the world’s premier motorsport organization to host the Las Vegas Grand Prix marked a major milestone in that effort. We look forward to working closely with Formula 1 through this new partnership and keeping Las Vegas top of mind for the millions of F1 viewers and fans around the world.”

The partnership is expected to drive further economic growth for Las Vegas, attracting more tourists, conventions, and events to the city. As the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix approaches on November 24, the excitement surrounding the race continues to build, with Max Verstappen leading the driver’s championship and Oracle Red Bull Racing dominating the constructors’ standings.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) drives the city’s global tourism and convention industry. As the official destination marketing organization for Southern Nevada, the LVCVA works tirelessly to promote Las Vegas as a premier destination for leisure and business travellers alike. Recently, the authority partnered with the Premier League club, AFC Bournemouth.
