lululemon has been announced as the new official apparel and footwear outfitter of the BNP Paribas Open, marking a landmark partnership between the Canadian athletic apparel giant and one of the world’s most celebrated tennis tournaments.

The multi-year agreement begins with the 2026 edition of the event, set to take place from March 1 to 15 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California.

Under the new partnership, lululemon will outfit more than 2,000 tournament volunteers, officials, and ball crew members in its signature high-performance apparel and footwear. The collaboration will also see the launch of a co-branded merchandise collection, a dedicated activation space within the Retail Courtyard, and an expanded on-site presence through the “Tennis Paradise Shop.” Adding to the fan experience, “lululemon Day” will debut on March 8, featuring athlete appearances, interactive sessions, and community-led fan activities.

This partnership represents lululemon’s most significant move into professional tennis to date, reflecting the brand’s ambition to extend beyond its athleisure foundation into high-performance sport.

Philippe Dore, Chief Marketing Officer at the BNP Paribas Open, said, “lululemon is a natural partner for the BNP Paribas Open and truly embodies the spirit of Tennis Paradise. From their high quality apparel to their focus on performance, lululemon shares our passion for excellence and delivering memorable experiences. Together, we’re excited to enhance the world-class atmosphere that makes Indian Wells such a special destination for players and fans each March.”

Celeste Burgoyne, President, Americas and Global Guest Innovation, added, “Community is at the heart of everything we do at lululemon. Tennis may be an individual sport, but it’s deeply rooted in connection – and that’s why it’s been part of our story for years. Partnering with the BNP Paribas Open gives us a meaningful way to engage with our athlete ambassadors, fans, and guests who embody the values we hold close: staying grounded under pressure, moving with intention, and building community.”

Beyond tennis, lululemon’s portfolio of sporting partnerships spans a wide range of disciplines. The brand counts seven times Formula 1 champion, Lewis Hamilton, as the global ambassador and has previously collaborated across sports ecosystems, including the National Football League (NFL), National Hockey League (NHL), and NASCAR, all part of its growing investment in performance innovation and athlete culture.

For the BNP Paribas Open, the deal strengthens its commercial and fan engagement ecosystem, adding another global premium brand to its partner roster. For lululemon, the partnership offers high-visibility exposure across broadcast, retail, and digital platforms, positioning the brand at the heart of one of tennis’s most iconic destinations.

Recognised as the largest combined ATP and WTA 1000 event in the world, the BNP Paribas Open continues to attract elite players, global fans, and leading brands. The addition of lululemon underscores the ongoing evolution of tennis as a global lifestyle sport, where performance, fashion, and culture intersect to define the modern fan experience.
