LPL 2020: My11Circle becomes title sponsor of Lankan Premier League

My11Circle will be the title sponsor of the inaugural edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) after signing a lucrative deal. The deal will see the league called as the My11Circle Lankan Premier League.

The fantasy sports platform will be able to use the league and players participating in the competition for promotional purposes. It will also get promoted on the digital platforms of the Lankan Premier League.

The league has been postponed twice in the past due to various roadblocks like the pandemic and then unclear communication on Quarantine regulations for foreign players. It is now scheduled to start on November 26 at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium (MRIC) in Hambantota. The tournament is set to conclude by mid-December.

Our primary objective is to reach out to more cricket fans across regions and borders and communicate our unique ‘Play with Champions’ proposition to them through this partnership.”

I am quite confident that with this partnership, LPL has the potential to become the second biggest sports league in South Asia.”

Colombo will take on Kandy in the opening match of the league and the final will be played on December 16, 2020. A galaxy of global stars that includes Chris Gayle, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Lasith Malinga, Angelo Mathews, Irfan Pathan will be taking part in the 15-day extravaganza.
