India’s leading live game streaming app, Loco has signed a broadcast arrangement with soccer’s world governing body, FIFA to bring the focal point of the FIFA esports experience to the platform.
Loco will localise and live stream the three competitions. India recently made history by qualifying for the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022 in June 2022. This accomplishment by the Indian eFootball team which included Charanjot Singh, Siddh Chandarana, and Saransh Jain, led the nation as they defeated Korea Republic and Malaysia in the playoffs. This win sparked huge enthusiasm among FIFA fans as well as the nation’s broader esports community.
Following this, Loco will serve multiple viewing parties with the nation’s highest game streamers to help raise awareness in the Indian gaming world and with enthusiasts well beyond the existing FIFAe society.
The FIFAe Finals, which commenced on July 14, will continue until July 17, with the FIFAe World Cup, which tends to focus on the best individual players from around the world.
Loco Founders, Anirudh Pandita and Ashwin Suresh, said, “eSports has become the most watched category in India, after Indian cricket, and we are really happy to partner with one of the most prestigious organizations in the world, FIFA, to bring together an innovative new category of esports, FIFAe.
“It is a landmark year because we have the Indian team competing in the FIFAe Nations Cup and we hope they will inspire a generation of new gamers!
