The Premier League club, Liverpool, and Sorare, the player-owned fantasy game have enhanced their partnership.
In this development, Sorare has been named the official global partner of the Reds. The two parties involved initially inked the association last year when they launched digital cards of first-team players – including Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk – on Sorare’s platform.
Following the association’s enhancement, Liverpool will team up with Sorare on fan content and unveil unique experiences for the fans of the club.
This collaboration will allow Liverpool to leverage the extensive user base of Sorare in 185 countries.
Sports collectibles allow football enthusiasts to commemorate their passion for the sport and Sorare enables its users to own and manage cards of their desired player.
Ben Latty, Commercial Director at Liverpool FC, said, “At Liverpool Football Club, we’re always striving to pioneer new technologies for our supporters, with the aim of enhancing their fan experience and making them feel as connected as possible to this club.
“We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Sorare and go further in bringing exciting new initiatives to our fans.”
Michael Meltzer, Head of Business Development at Sorare, added, “Liverpool FC is one of the world’s most iconic and prestigious clubs; a footballing juggernaut with unparalleled history and one of the largest and most passionate fanbases in the sport.
“We’re beyond excited to expand our partnership with such an historic club that is just as committed to innovating to bring authentic experiences to their fans as we are.
“Thanks to this exclusive deal, fans from across the globe will be able to use Sorare to get even closer to the Reds they love – from Virgil van Dijk to Trent to Thiago.”
Apart from Sorare, Liverpool have signed renewals with Nivea Men and Standard Chartered.
On the other hand, Sorare has landed some fruitful partnerships lately – Bologna FC, Borussia Dortmund, Serie A, Kylian Mbappe, and AS Saint-Étienne.
On the English top flight points table, the Reds have acquired the eighth position with nine points courtesy of two victories and one defeat. The team will be next seen in action on Saturday, October 1 against Brighton at 7:30 PM IST.
