The English football club, Chelsea FC have announced a significant partnership with Live Nation Entertainment, the world’s leading live entertainment company.
This multi-faceted agreement has named Live Nation a principal partner for the remainder of the 2024/25 season, with its logo prominently displayed on the sleeves of both the men’s and women‘s team kits.
The collaboration represents a strategic move into the burgeoning “sportainment” sector, recognizing the increasing overlap between sports and live entertainment. Both organizations aim to leverage this synergy, capitalizing on their respective strengths to connect with a wider audience. For Chelsea, the partnership offers access to Live Nation’s global expertise in live events and fan engagement. Live Nation, in turn, gains a powerful platform to engage Chelsea’s extensive international fanbase.
Commenting on the occasion, Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer for Chelsea Football Club, said, “We are excited to welcome Live Nation to the club and our family of partners. To work in partnership with such a globally recognised company, at a time when our focus is on growth and innovation, will bring huge value to the club.”
Glen Littlewood, SVP of Marketing LNUK, added, “The power of live entertainment is key to our business, and although that entertainment usually takes place onstage for us, we look forward to playing our small part in the magic that takes place on-pitch with this partnership with Chelsea FC.”
Live Nation Entertainment, formed in 2010 through the merger of Live Nation and Ticketmaster, boasts a vast portfolio of venues, including stadiums, arenas, and theatres. The company promotes, operates, and manages ticket sales for a diverse range of live events worldwide, from concerts and festivals to family shows and sporting events.
The partnership comes during a season of both progress and continued success for the Blues. The men’s team, under the leadership of new manager Enzo Maresca, currently sits fourth in the Premier League, demonstrating improvement after a challenging previous season. Their UEFA Conference League campaign has seen them reach the Round of 16, though their FA Cup and EFL Cup runs were cut short in the fourth round. Meanwhile, Chelsea Women continue to excel, competing for top honours in the Women’s Super League and making a strong impression in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Both teams are vying for silverware and continued development throughout the remainder of the season.
