LIV Golf has developed a sponsorship association with  HSBC, an international financial and banking services provider.

As part of the deal, the world’s leading financial institutions has become the official international banking partner.

The multi-year arrangement is LIV Golf’s first with a worldwide banking organisation and will cover all 14 tournaments in LIV’s international season. HSBC will support two of LIV’s 13 teams: Crushers GC, led by Bryson DeChambeau, and Majesticks GC, led by Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter, and Henrik Stenson, who will compete in LIV Golf Andalucía from July 11-13.

HSBC, with over 20 years of global golf sponsorship, will collaborate with LIV Golf to help expand the game globally, support junior entry pathways, and push financial literacy programs in local communities.

Barry O’Byrne, HSBC’s CEO of International Wealth and Premier Banking, said, “We are delighted to join forces with LIV Golf and are really excited to see what we can create together. HSBC has more than two decades of legacy in the sport, and we can’t wait to bring another level of excitement to our clients and sports fans.”

LIV Golf CEO, Scott O’Neil, commented, “HSBC’s track record in supporting and advancing the game of golf is inspiring and admirable. Few sports leagues can claim a truly global reach, making a partnership with HSBC a natural alignment. Together, we have an opportunity to engage younger fans, connect through music, culture and innovation, and inspire the next generation.”

As part of the collaboration, HSBC has also become the presenting partner of LIV Golf’s “9 to Play” broadcast segment, which will appear in every tournament broadcast and has a potential worldwide reach of over 875 million homes across 120+ foreign countries.

HSBC’s golf portfolio includes The Open, the AIG Women’s Open, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, the HSBC Women’s World Championship (Singapore), and the CGA-HSBC China Golf Program.

In recent times, HSBC has also backed various sporting leagues such as Rugby Premier League, Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, and more.
