Liga Profesional de Fútbol signs a pact with McDonald’s

Following this development, the branding of McDonald's will be visible at all LPF events.

Argentine Primera Division, popularly known as Liga Profesional de Fútbol (LPF), has landed an association with McDonald’s.

Following this development, the branding of the American fast-food restaurant will be visible at all LPF events. The two parties involved will collaborate to execute initiatives to promote sports as a healthy habit among adults and children.

Claudio Tapia, President of AFA, said, “We are very happy with the incorporation of McDonald’s Argentina to the AFA Professional League. We have been working together in the National Teams for several years and we have extended that agreement until 2026. Having such an important strategic partner also in the League shows that this type of leading companies find in AFA a solid communication and marketing platform to develop their plans and projects We welcome McDonald’s Argentina to the Professional League and we wish them the greatest of successes”.

Commenting on the significance of the association, Leandro Petersen, AFA’s Commercial and Marketing Director, said, “It is a source of pride to add a top-level brand like McDonald’s to the projects of the AFA Professional League.

We have been working for some time to improve the quality and quantity of our league’s sponsorships, and this is a great step. Adding a brand of this level prioritizes our commercial and marketing projects. We thank McDonald’s for the trust. Without a doubt we will do a great job together, as we have been developing in the National Teams for some years now.”

This newly inked partnership is followed by McDonald’s association with Argentina Football Association (AFA) which was extended till 2026. In the previous month, AFA also signed a deal with Mashreq Bank.
