The Legends Pro T20 League, which includes renowned names such as Shikhar Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh, Shane Watson, and Dale Steyn, puts together some of the top names in international cricket while also providing fans with an electrifying start to the year.
More than a nostalgic spectacle, the Legends Pro T20 League is a celebration of cricketing brilliance, bringing together iconic players who have inspired generations to compete in a format designed to emphasise their talent, charisma, and competitive spirit. With several franchises, top-tier global talent, and a tournament structure designed for maximum balance and tension, the league is poised to become the most premium and globally anticipated event on the yearly cricket calendar.
The initial edition, which will take place in Goa from January 26 to February 4, 2026, will include six franchise-based teams and 90 iconic players, ushering in a big new chapter in international cricket. The entire competition will be held in one location, the newly opened 1919 Sportz Cricket Stadium in Verna, allowing fans to participate in a continuous, festival-style cricketing carnival unlike any other legends league.
Former Australian captain Michael Clarke has been named League Commissioner, bringing leadership and a player-centric approach.
On his new role, Clarke said, “India, being one of the biggest homes of cricket, holds a special place for me.
