The professional cricket league for the retired international cricketers, labelled as the Legends League Cricket has got onboard the legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan as its brand ambassador ahead of the inaugural season.
Following this association, Amitabh Bachchan, said: “I am absolutely looking forward to the Legends League Cricket celebrating the Legends of Cricket from all across the world, bringing back the old rivalries for us to relive the nostalgia. It is a great opportunity for all cricket fans to get an opportunity to see them play live again.”
Adding to that, Raman Raheja, chief executive officer, Legends League Cricket said: “We are honoured to have Mr. Bachchan with us. The league was announced earlier this year in September, which informed that the former international cricketers of India, England, South Africa, Pakistan, Australia, and some others have joined hands to participate in the tournament. It also mentioned that the tournament will be held twice a year.
While in the first season, it will be played in a tri-series format with an Indian team, Asian team, and the Rest of the World team, playing against each other. Adding to that, it has come to light that the first season is scheduled to be held in January 2021, taking place in Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Oman.
Apart from roping in Amitabh Bachchan as the brand ambassador, the Legends League Cricket has signed the former Indian coach and cricketer, Ravi Shastri as the commissioner of the league.
