Legends League Cricket appoints Howzat as title sponsor

The first-ever season of the LLC is set to begin on January 22 with a total of three teams taking part in the tournament.

The upcoming cricket tournament, Legends League Cricket (LLC) has penned down a partnership with the fantasy gaming platform, Howzat. Following this association, Howzat has acquired the naming rights of the Legends League Cricket and the league will be called “Howzat Legends League Cricket”.

The first-ever season of the LLC is all set to begin on January 22 with a total of three teams participating in the tournament. The three teams are India Maharajas, Asia Lions and World Giants, each of the teams will be playing three matches in two rounds and the two top teams will be playing the final scheduled on January 29. All the matches are going to be held in Al Amerat Cricket Stadium, Muscat, Oman.

Speaking on the partnership, Raman Raheja, CEO of Howzat Legends League Cricket, said: “We are extremely happy to announce this partnership with Howzat. A leading fantasy company from India, they are a young, vibrant and exciting brand to partner with. We wish to walk a long mile with them and ensure fans are treated with an entertaining form of cricket”

Adding to it, Bharat Bhatia, vice president marketing of Junglee Games said: “Howzat brand prides itself to be a house of legends where some of marquee Indian cricketing legends like Yuvraj, Irfan and Raina are our brand ambassadors, and our users get an opportunity to make teams against these legends & win prizes. Recently, the legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan joined hands with Legends League Cricket as the brand ambassador of the league. He was also featured in the ad film with the theme “boss logo ka game” to promote the inaugural season of LLC. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, the former Indian player and coach, Ravi Shastri has been appointed as the commissioner of LLC.

Sony Pictures Networks has acquired the media rights of the tournament and the fans can tune into Sony Ten 1 and Sony Ten 3 to enjoy the matches. The matches would also be streamed on the OTT platform, SonyLIV.
