Leeds United signs a new energy drinks partner

Leeds United teams up with a local Leeds-based company in a one-year deal.

English top-flight football club Leeds United has declared a new partnership with the energy drinks brand Boost Drinks.

The Leeds-based company has inked a one-season deal with the Yorkshire outfit, fetching the club’s official energy drinks partner for the 2021/22 campaign. The agreement also secures Boost with branding in and around Leeds’s Elland Road stadium, as well as the Thorp Arch training ground.

A variety of Boost products will also be accessible at the stadium on matchdays and in official Leeds United retail stores.

The Premier League club will also endorse the brand across its digital and social media channels, and work with the brand on fan engagements.

Leeds United is a huge Premier League club with a global fanbase, including some of the most passionate supporters in the industry,” said Simon Gray, founder, and chief executive of Boost Drinks. “We recognize that we share a similar value set with Leeds United, are both brave and ambitious challenger brands, and are enjoying strong achievements. It’s an honor to be able to associate ourselves with such a prestigious club steeped in history.

Paul Bell, Leeds United’s executive director, added, “Boost is a strong challenger brand within its sector and shares similar values to the club, we are looking forward to working with and supporting Boost on the next phase of its brand growth both in the UK and internationally.”

Somewhere else in the Premier League, Aston Villa has exposed an energy drinks partnership of its own, writing a two-year deal with Monster Energy. The Birmingham club’s tie-up with the US brand will see Monster endorsed across Villa’s online and social platforms.

Nicola Ibbetson, Aston Villa’s chief commercial officer, said, “Monster Energy is a global brand that is dedicated to enhancing the world for both athletes and fans. We look forward to working [with] them over the next two years.
