Leeds United sign Daniel James from Manchester United

Leeds United has reportedly paid £28 million for Daniel James.

Premier League team Leeds United has signed the Manchester United forward Daniel James on a permanent deal. The London side has managed to secure the signing before the summer transfer window closes.

Leeds United was in advanced talks with Manchester United for the Welsh international. The reported fee for Daniel James is said to be in the range of £28 million. James had joined Manchester United from Swansea in 2019.

The youngster has some blistering pace but is not the most clinical finisher. Moreover, with the arrival of the likes of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo, it’s highly unlikely he will be getting a lot of regular playing time under Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

Popular transfer window spokesman Fabrizio Romano tweeted, “Daniel James to Leeds from Manchester United, done deal now confirmed and here we go! The agreement has been completed for €28m with add ons. Personal terms agreed a few minutes ago too. Medical tomorrow morning, official announcement soon.

James has made 74 appearances for Manchester United and has scored nine goals. United managed to defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend 1-0 with a goal from Mason Greenwood. The Red Devils will be seen in action next on September 11, Saturday against Newcastle United at Old Trafford at 7:30 PM IST.
