Leeds United extends partnership with JD Sports for 2021-22 Season

Last season, the Elland Road club revealed that JD had signed a one-year contract becoming the club's first official shirt sleeve partner.

JD Sports have reached a deal with the Whites who are known as Leeds united to extend their partnership in LS11 for another year. Last season, the Elland Road club revealed that JD had signed a one-year contract becoming the club’s first official shirt sleeve partner.

With little time under four weeks before the start of the new season, the collaboration with the worldwide sports brand seeks to expose the club to a larger audience. In order to attract more younger followers, replica kits and training apparel will be available in JD high street stores around Europe, Asia, and the United States, as well as on their website. As always, there have been leaks aplenty on the new Adidas kit, both home and away, but there has been nothing official from the club to date.

Leeds United Executive Director Paul Bell said, “JD is one of the most recognised names on the high street and one of the world’s biggest retailers and we’re delighted to extend our strategic partnership with them. JD has an impressive portfolio of over 3,000 stores across 20 International territories including some key target markets for the club.”

Peter Cowgill, Chairman of JD Sports Fashion PLC, added, “We’re delighted to renew our partnership with Leeds for the forthcoming season. The positive intent shown by the club both on and off the field is something which we want to be associated with and we wish them every success in the new campaign.”

The Leeds United not only have signed the sponsorship deals, but they have also signed new players for their upcoming premier league season. The Whites have welcomed in four new additions this summer, with Jack Harrison and Junior Firpo acquired to immediately bolster Marcelo Bielsa’s squad. While Leeds plan their next move in the transfer window, questions over the club’s new kit have filled the gap left by real transfer rumours.
