The Laver Cup, which is an international indoor hard court men’s team tennis competition between Team Europe and Team World, has onboarded the Swiss tourism board as the official travel destination for this year’s edition.
The upcoming tournament, which will be held between September 23-25, 2022, will be conducted at London’s O2 Arena in late September. Switzerland Tourism will receive rights over advertising assets throughout the venue. ‘The Grand Tour of Switzerland’ will be promoted at the 2022 Laver Cup.
In this collaboration, Switzerland Tourism will organize two fan competitions. The winner of the first competition will get an opportunity to attend the final day of the tournament and meet the legendary, Roger Federer. The individual who wins the second competition will get a four-overnight trip to Switzerland for two people along with a car rental.
Speaking on the collaboration, Martin Nydegger, Switzerland Tourism Chief Executive, said, “As the official travel destination for Laver Cup 2022, we are delighted that our ambassador Roger Federer will be back on court in London in September.
“Laver Cup provides us with a unique opportunity to spotlight the Grand Tour of Switzerland, and the vibrant, majestic, and picturesque treasures our amazing country has to offer.”
