Lanka Premier League signs Cycle Agarbathi as Umpire Sponsor

The ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) has roped in NR Group’s Cycle Pure Agarbathi as the tournament’s Official Umpire sponsor. The incense stick brand has been associated with Indian Cricket over the years and now they have also started collaborating Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).

During the LPL matches, the logo of Cycle Pure would be showcased on the big screen whenever the third umpire takes a decision. The logo would also be present on the sidescreen, boundary ropes, and umpire’s apparel. The Cycle brand would also sponsor the Fair Play of the Season award.

Speaking about the association with Cycle, Ravin Wickramaratne, Vice-President of SLC, said, “We welcome Cycle on board as the Official Umpire Partner for My11Circle Lanka Premier League 2020. Their willingness to support us in this league is proof of the potential of the brand LPL.”

Meanwhile, Arjun Ranga, MD of Cycle Agarbathis, said, “It is an honour for Cycle to associate with My11Circle Lanka Premier League. This initiative will make our association stronger and reinforce our commitment to cricket and in the Sri Lankan market. Cricket has been a key element in our brand journey right from our inception and it has worked brilliantly for our brand.”

The inaugural season of the Sri Lankan League commenced on November 26. Currently, the six city-based franchises from the LPL are heading towards their business end while Jaffna Stallions led by Thisara Perera is topping the points table.

The Karnataka based brand, Cycle Pure Abarbathi has been investing in cricket at different levels. The owners of the brand have a T20 team known as Mysuru Warriors of the Karnataka Premier League.
