La7 lands free-to-air rights of the women’s Serie-A

The agreement was signed with the FIGC (Italian Football Federation) over the broadcasting of the matches on La7, La7d and La7, it which are the three channels La7 will be broadcasting the matches on.

Italian free-to-air television channel La7 which is owned by Cairo Communications recently announced that they will be becoming the official broadcasting sponsor of the Women’s Serie-A, which is the Italian top-flight football league for Women.

The deal will oversee La7 broadcast every match of the league on their channel and along with the league, they will also broadcast the semi-finals and finals of the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super cup being held for the Women’s Italian top-flight football.

Analysis of every detail, minute highlights and even planning a schedule, La7 is ready for the new season of the Women’s Serie-A who will be broadcasting a total of 28 matchdays on their in-house channels.

The deal was signed over a span of two years which will cover the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons of the league with an option to extend. The women’s Serie-A will kick off on the 28th of August which will be the same day of the kick-off of the men’s Serie-A matchday.

The Juventus women’s team will go out again to defend their title as they have for the past four years winning the league four years in a row and maintaining a dominant run.
