The Prime Volleyball League (PVL) franchise, Kolkata Thunderbolts roped in numerous brands under their sponsorship portfolio ahead of the 2022 season of men’s professional indoor volleyball tournament in India.
The franchise has teamed up with the online media unit, The Telegraph My Kolkata and appointed the brand as its official digital media partner. My Kolkata is a newspaper edition of The Telegraph managed by ABP Group. The extravagant newspaper covers topics ranging from places, food, music to fashion and lifestyle also.
The PVL outfit penned down a sponsorship deal with the popular sports retailing firm, Decathlon. The global sports brand became the official sports partner of the franchise. Decathlon is a French sports material distributor with approximate 1697 stores in 60 countries. It is the largest sports goods retailing unit in the world.
In addition to this, the franchise has also partnered with the clothing brand, Dos. The apparel unit is brought in as the official kitting partner of the team. Dos was founded in 2017 and aims to provide top quality clothing material to its customers. Its notable clients include the Income Tax Department of India and the Indian Railways.
Lastly, the team also joined hands with the media network, DafaNews. The team announced the global sports news channel as its official sports news partner. DafaNews delivers the most highlighted updates in the sports industry and covers prominent leagues such as Pro Kabbadi League (PKL) and the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Through these signings, the Kolkata-based franchise of the PVL has significantly enhanced its brand recognition and value. The team has recently also associated with notable firms such as Radio Mirchi, PromotEdge, Travel Delights and Soulfuel.
The awaited edition of the PVL will kickstart on February 5 and culminate on February 27. In this 24-match thrilling tournament, Kolkata Thunderbolts will commence their journey by facing Calicut Heroes on February 7.
