The Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have added Royal Green and Thums Up to their sponsorship portfolio for the 16th edition.
In this deal, both brands have been labelled as the official sponsors of the two-time IPL winners.
While the arrangement with the beverage company is an extended one, the alliance with Royal Green has been developed from the partnership with Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, part of the Knight Riders Group, from the DP World International League T20 (ILT20).
Royal Green is a meticulously crafted fusion of premium Indian grain spirits. Rich and expansive Royal mix is the result of using premium malt that has matured in the best oak barrels with imported scotch. Royal Green combines the master blender’s love of flavour and scent creation with fine craftsmanship.
Apart from Gurgaon and other significant Haryana cities, Royal Green is also widely available and very well-liked in the other seven more Indian marketplaces. The brand’s expansion goals may include international markets in addition to the soon-to-be-distributed areas of India.
On the other hand, Thums Up, an Indian multinational cola brand, was launched in India in 1977 to replace The Coca-Cola Company’s exit from the country. Coca-Cola later acquired the brand and relaunched it to compete with Pepsi.
Before this deal, the franchise inked sponsorship associations with Bira 91, MyFab11, EUME, and BKT Tires.
The Nitish Rana-led side will begin its 2023 season today i.e. April 1 against Punjab Kings (PBKS).
