Following the successful launch of Kia India as the title partner of the Tennis Premier League (TPL), Kia India has reinforced its partnership with the competition by becoming the principal partner of all eight franchise clubs in a multi-year agreement.
As part of the enhanced collaboration, the Kia India emblem will be prominently displayed on the front of the jerseys of all eight franchises: Gurgaon Grand Slammers, Lucknow Blazers, Hyderabad Strikers, GS Delhi Aces, Gujarat Panthers, Kolkata Thunder Blades, Mumbai Royals, and Rajasthan Rangers.
The relationship is a key milestone in Kia India’s ongoing commitment to the expansion of tennis in India, as it extends its support beyond the league to every participating franchise through a multi-year agreement. In keeping with the common aim of developing the next generation of Indian talent, each of the eight franchise teams will host a free two-day tennis camp in their respective locations for junior players aged 10 to 18.
Every camp is designed to provide prospective players with comprehensive development, including sessions supervised by elite tennis coaches, sports nutritionists, physiotherapists, and sports psychologists.
Overall, the effort will provide 16 days of grassroots tennis development in eight locations. The Kia Tennis Premier League has quickly emerged as one of leading franchise-based tennis competitions. Kia India’s increased collaboration with all eight teams contributes to the league’s aim of building a sustainable environment that supports professional tennis while investing in grassroots development.
With Kia India now acting as each franchise’s Principal Partner, the 2018 season promises to bring a greater fan experience, enhanced team identity, and a lasting legacy through programs that inspire and nurture the next generation of Indian tennis players.
