KFC releases new TVC ‘Cricket Hai, Let’s KFC’

‘Cricket Hai, Let’s KFC’ is a new TV commercial released by KFC as cricket fans from all over India come together to celebrate the sport of cricket.

KFC came together with Ogilvy to make the TVC, which not only was released around the time of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to get substantially more exposure but rather centred it around the theme of cricket, which in India is a whole emotion in itself.

The ad film promotes the explosive coupling of KFC’s chicken with the cricket fan’s match-watching experience, making it a genuinely wonderful occasion with friends and family. When it comes to watching cricket at home with the family, it takes on a whole new meaning. As divisions form and everyone has an opinion on what should or should not have happened, the energy is unfathomable. KFC’s latest TVC effectively captures this sentiment, showing a heartwarming interaction between two cricket fans – a grandmother and grandson – who come together for the love of the game yet easily fight over a bucket of their favourite KFC chicken.
