The Indian Super League clubKerala Blasters FC has announced a partnership with one of the biggest sports entities, Socios. In this multi-year partnership, Kerala Blasters has named Socios as its official fan token partner. Socios will also be promoting its brand name by placing its logo in the undercollar of all match and training jerseys of the Kerala players.

Socios is a blockchain-enabled fan token platform, meaning it offers fan tokens to the club’s supporters or fans.

As the supporters own a fan token, they are able to vote on different decisions that are taken by the club, which helps to get the fans close to their favourite club. Apart from that, the fans will also have access to VIP experiences if they won a token, while they can also trade the digital tokens with other Socios users, and also can participate in some exciting challenges and more.

Currently, more than 40 major sporting organizations have partnered with Socios.com to launch their own fan tokens. This list includes some big European football clubs like Barcelona, Inter MilanArsenal, and Juventus. While Argentina and Portugal’s national teams are also included in the list. However, Kerala Blasters has become the first Indian football club to land a partnership with Socios.

Speaking on the occasion, Nikhil Bhardwaj, Director, Kerala Blasters FC, said: “With this partnership, we are proud to join an elusive list of clubs within the Socios network. This only reiterates our ambition to take KBFC global. With Socios, we look forward to enhancing our fan experience and creating something very unique to engage our enthusiastic supporters. I thoroughly look forward to a long and fruitful association together.”

The ISL 2021/22 season has already marked its commencement on Friday as ATK Mohun Bagan bagged their first victory this season against Kerala Blasters FC. ATK scored four goals against Kerala, while the Tuskers only managed to score two.
