Kent Cricket, a stalwart among England and Wales’ eighteen first-class county clubs, has announced a multi-year partnership with MatchWornShirt, a global leader in the sports memorabilia market.
This collaboration promises to bring exclusive opportunities to Kent Cricket supporters throughout the season.
The partnership will grant fans access to a curated collection of match-worn and signed shirts sported by Kent Cricket players. These unique pieces of sporting history will be available for purchase by fans, allowing them to own a tangible piece of the team’s legacy.
James Flude, Head of Business Development at MatchWornShirt, said, “We are delighted to welcome Kent Cricket to our growing portfolio of partners in the UK. Tradition is at the heart of the game, but we are also seeing new and innovative trends throughout the sport – and we are delighted to be playing a part in that through this latest partnership with Kent.”
Andy Griffiths, Director of Partnerships, said, “Match-worn shirts are very popular within our supporters and membership, therefore to sign this partnership is very exciting for us. Our new partnership with MatchWornShirt will provide supporters with even more chances to get their hands on truly unique items of memorabilia, enabling them to own a piece of history from the Kent players.”
Founded in 2017 with headquarters in Amsterdam, MatchWornShirt has established itself as a leading platform for fans to acquire match-worn and signed shirts from their sporting heroes directly. The company has grown significantly since its inception, offering fans a vast collection of memorabilia across various sports, including cricket, rugby, hockey, and more. This partnership is followed by a recent five-year agreement between MatchWornShirt and Cardiff City FC, an English Football League (EFL) Championship team.
Presently, the county is competing in the T20 leg of the season. The unit currently holds the third position in the south division of the Vitality T20 Blast, having secured two wins and suffered two losses. The club’s next match is against Somerset CCC on June 14 at 11:00 PM IST.
