Kayo Sports and MotoGP have extended their long-standing Australian broadcast partnership with a new multi-year agreement that will keep the championship on Kayo Sports and Foxtel as MotoGP enters a major new era in 2027.

The renewed deal will see Kayo Sports and Foxtel continue to deliver every MotoGP practice session, qualifying session and race live in Australia, with coverage available in HD and without advertising breaks during racing.

The extension will take Foxtel Group’s relationship with MotoGP into its 30th year, with the broadcaster having first partnered with the championship in 1997. The timing of the extension is significant, with MotoGP preparing for a substantial regulatory overhaul from 2027. The championship will move from 1,000cc to 850cc engines, introduce further restrictions on aerodynamic development and rider-assistance technology, and transition to 100% sustainable fuel.

The Australian round will also enter a new chapter, with the Grand Prix moving from Phillip Island to Adelaide from 2027. The event will be staged on a new city-centre circuit under a six-year agreement running through 2032.

Foxtel Group CEO Patrick Delany said, “With world-class racing and a championship battle going down to the wire, MotoGP™ has never been more thrilling. And there’s plenty more to come, with 2027 marking a significant new chapter for the sport, including major regulation changes, four of the five current champions changing manufacturers, and a new home for the Australian Grand Prix in Adelaide. 2027 marks 30 years as broadcast partner for the MotoGP™, representing three decades of supporting and growing alongside the sport. With this renewed deal, Kayo SPORTS subscribers will have a front row seat to all the upcoming action as we continue to bring Australian viewers every race, every battle and every moment live for years to come, alongside our hugely successful MotorRacing 360 show.”

Carlos Ezpeleta, Deputy CEO, MotoGP™ Sports Entertainment Group, added, “Australia has always been one of MotoGP’s most passionate markets, and we are delighted to extend our partnership with DAZN’s Kayo SPORTS and FOXTEL, ensuring fans continue to have access to every session, every race and every unforgettable moment of the championship. This new agreement further extends what is the longest broadcast partnership in MotoGP’s   history, underlining both the strength of our relationship and the enduring passion of Australian fans for the sport.”

“As MotoGP prepares to enter an exciting new era from 2027, with new technical regulations, evolving competition and a new home for the Australian Grand Prix in Adelaide, it is more important than ever to work with partners who share our commitment to delivering the highest quality coverage and fan experience. We look forward to continuing to grow MotoGP™’s audience in Australia together, bringing fans even closer to the riders, teams and stories that make this sport so unique.”

For Kayo Sports, the renewal strengthens an already substantial motorsport portfolio. The platform carries Formula 1 and Supercars alongside MotoGP, reinforcing its positioning as a major destination for Australian motorsport audiences.

The agreement also adds strategic significance following DAZN’s acquisition of Foxtel Group in 2025. DAZN already holds MotoGP rights in Spain and Portugal, creating a broader connection between the championship’s Australian and international broadcast operations.

Foxtel Group’s Executive Director – Commercial, Sport Adam Howarth continued, “Motorsport is firmly part of Australia’s tier-one sporting landscape, alongside the AFL, NRL and cricket, and Kayo SPORTS is the place fans can watch it all. From Formula 1 and MotoGP™ to Supercars and Australia’s biggest sporting competitions, Kayo SPORTS brings the very best of more than 50 live sports together in one place. DAZN holds MotoGP™ rights in Spain and Portugal, and this extension reflects not only our strong support for MotoGP™, but also DAZN’s role as a global partner in growth for this awesome sport.”

The extension ultimately gives MotoGP long-term distribution stability in a key market while providing Kayo Sports with a premium live property as the championship prepares to redefine its sporting, technical and commercial proposition from 2027.
