Karachi Kings, BankIslami sign partnership renewal

The initial partnership between the two parties involved commenced in 2022.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) outfit, Karachi Kings have signed an extension with the Islamic banking company, BankIslami.

With this development, BankIslami will prolong to be the platinum sponsor of the team for yet another season of the competition. The initial partnership between the two parties involved commenced in 2022. The branding of the banking company is likely to be seen on the back of the team jersey.

The franchise unveiled this collaboration through its social media handles with the caption, “We are honored to present #BankIslami as the platinum sponsor of Karachi Kings.”

BankIslami, which is based in Karachi, has 340 branches in 114 cities in Pakistan. It is also the first Islamic commercial bank that was approved for the Islamic banking license under the Islamic banking policy of 2003 by the State Bank of Pakistan on March 31, 2005.

Karachi Kings, the Karachi-based team that competes in the PSL, was formed in 2015. The team is led by Imad Wasim. The likes of Mohammad Amir, Mathew Wade, Shoaib Malik, and Imran Tahir are present in the team. Karachi Kings have laid their hands on the PSL trophy once before in 2020.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is yet to announce the official schedule for the upcoming season.
