The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and JPMorganChase have announced a transformative long-term partnership, designating the financial titan as the first-ever Worldwide Olympic Partner in the banking category.

The agreement, which spans the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Games and the French Alps 2030 Winter Games, represents a seismic shift in the Olympic Movement’s commercial architecture.

By joining the elite “The Olympic Partner” (TOP) programme, JPMorganChase secures exclusive global rights across Private Banking, Investment Banking, and Asset and Wealth Management. Domestically, the firm will assume a dual role as the official bank of Team USA and a founding partner of LA28, specifically anchoring the Retail Banking category in the United States.

Kirsty Coventry, President of the IOC, said, “JPMorganChase is the first Global Partner from the banking sector in Olympic history, and we are proud to welcome them to the Worldwide Olympic Partner programme. This partnership reflects our shared values of ambition, excellence and will support the Olympic Movement and sport around the world. JPMorganChase’s global reach and expertise will deliver lasting support for athletes and help create a lasting impact in communities worldwide.”

Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JPMorganChase, added, “We are honoured to be a Worldwide Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, supporting athletes, fans, businesses and communities around the globe. Olympians and Paralympians are more than athletes—they are our customers, clients and employees, and their dreams extend beyond the Games. We bank the communities they call home, finance the facilities where they train, help them start businesses and plan for their futures. Their journeys reflect the aspirations of millions we serve every day, and we’re excited to support them.”

With operations in over 60 countries and clients in more than 100 markets, JPMorganChase is a leading global financial services firm dedicated to driving economic growth and providing innovative solutions for individuals and institutions worldwide.

For LA28, the deal underscores a forward-leaning commercial strategy aimed at delivering a privately funded, financially responsible Games. JPMorganChase joins an expanding ecosystem of high-tier partners committed to the 2028 vision, including Korn Ferry, Intuit, Google, Starbucks, T-Mobile, Uber, Snowflake, Saatva, PennyMac, Allianz, AECOM, Cedars-Sinai, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Cisco, New Era, and Guild, ensuring that Los Angeles will host the Games with a foundation of private sector innovation and stability.

The collaboration also ventures into digital innovation. JPMorganChase will partner with NBCUniversal to pioneer next-generation media and payment technologies, aiming to revolutionise the fan experience through seamless, modernised commerce during the 2028 broadcast.
