The SA20 team, Joburg Super Kings have developed a partnership extension with the multinational fast food chain brand, McDonald’s.
Following the renewal, McDonald’s will continue as the associate sponsor of the Johannesburg-based side for the forthcoming edition. Furthermore, McDonald’s branding will continue to feature across the team’s assets; most notably, the brand’s emblem will be featured on the team’s helmets during matches.
Through this relationship, McDonald’s South Africa hopes to adapt its “Make Happy Happen” concept into the arena of sport, utilising cricket and the broad appeal of Joburg Super Kings to connect with fans, generate excitement, and develop a sense of community throughout the country.
For Joburg Super Kings franchise, the extension shows the team’s rising commercial worth. Having an internationally known brand like McDonald’s on board increases the team’s sponsorship profile and reaffirms its standing as a prominent participant in the SA20 ecosystem. The continual sponsorship, which supports team operations, marketing, and match-day experiences, benefits fans in the meantime.
The Super Kings are not only getting ready to battle fiercely on the pitch but also developing a long-term business plan off it, as seen by this extended agreement, which coincides with the team constructing a solid sponsor portfolio and growing its off-field collaborations.
