JK Tyre, the company synonymous with motorsport in the country, has signed an 11-year-old karting star, Atiqa Mir.
At the age of 11, Atiqa has already established herself as one of India’s most promising young motorsport stars, making an impact on the international karting circuit. She has raced in major championships in Europe and the Middle East, and according to the FIA IKR (International Karting Ranking) OKNJ, she is the world’s top female karter. In 2026, she became the first Indian to finish on the podium in the Champions of the Future Academy’s European leg, before going on to win decisively in Greece, becoming only the third driver in series history to sweep qualification, heats, and the final.
Atiqa has added another feather to her crown by being the youngest Indian to achieve two top ten finishes in the FIA European Karting Championship, known as the ‘Formula 1 of Karting.’
Her voyage also highlights the expanding participation of women in racing. Atiqa was the first Indian and Asian female racer chosen for the Formula 1 Academy’s Discover Your Drive program, cementing her status as one of the sport’s rising young stars.
