JioStar, the official broadcaster of the US Open 2025, has set a new record for tennis viewership in India, with a total of 877 million minutes watched across linear and digital channels.
The 2025 edition began with a fresh and thrilling mixed doubles format, which was further broadened by Hindi commentary, resulting in an unparalleled performance on Linear TV, with 388 million minutes of total watch time. This is the biggest watch time for the US Open in the BARC period, demonstrating tennis’ rising popularity in India and the platform’s ongoing efforts to bring fans closer to the sport.
Furthermore, the tournament’s reach also increased dramatically, with 18 million viewers watching the US Open, a 96% increase from the previous year. The US Open 2025 drew 489 million viewers on JioHotstar, with Aryna Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz winning the singles title.
