Jaquar Foundation continues its support to Indian Paralympian Sumit Antil

Sumit Antil won the gold medal in the javelin throw at the Tokyo Paralympics.

The CSR arm of Jaquar known as the Jaquar Foundation has extended its support to the Indian Paralympian Sumit Antil up until 2024 Paris. It’s a great gesture by the organisation which is continuously looking to support Indian athletes.

Sumit Antil recently won the gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics and smashed the world record as well as the Olympic record. With an impressive throw of 68.55 metres, Sumit broke all records. Having lost his leg in a bike accident when he was just seventeen, he showed his skills in javelin throw while in college.

Jaquar Foundation will be providing Sumit Antil with world-class facilities to help him retain his medal at the 2024 Paris Games as well. They will be providing him with a prosthetic leg, the required number of high-quality javelins for training, the best quality dietary supplements as prescribed by a renowned dietician and world-class coaching both abroad and domestically.

The recent honour that Sumit has brought to the country is just the beginning of where Indian sports is headed. Jaquar has always believed in actively encouraging young talent in India. This year, Jaquar has extended its support to one of the most inspiring Paralympians in India- Sumit Antil. This will not only ensure that he gets access to world-class facilities and equipment but also inspire other aspiring athletes to pursue their dreams,” said Kanwar Shamsher Relan, head of Jaquar Foundation.

“I am thrilled and grateful for Jaquar Foundation to have come forward and extend their support to me for the coming 4 years. The facilities, equipment and training of international standards will help me work towards my goal for Paralympics 2024- bring more pride and recognition to the nation. I hope that this initiative galvanizes further support for athletes like us,” said Sumit Antil.
