The Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL), the world’s first franchise-based supercross league, continues to see strong momentum as its franchise teams attract high-value investors, with a recent investment closing at a INR 30 Crore ISRL Franchise Team valuation.
This milestone value solidifies ISRL’s status as India’s fastest-growing entertainment and racing property, as well as a viable commercial engine in the world of franchise sports. The achievement, attained just ahead of Season 2, highlights the league’s strong upward trajectory, which was powered by on-the-ground performance, high-impact digital engagement, and the involvement of over 120 foreign and Indian riders throughout Season 1.
With Bollywood megastar Salman Khan as an investor in the league, as well as marquee celebrity partners, savvy corporate sponsorships, and extensive content distribution, ISRL is set for tremendous expansion in Season 2. The competition’s strong momentum boosts investor confidence and highlights India’s developing athletic and entertainment industries. This momentum is matched in expanding fan interest, with Nielsen statistics revealing that racing enthusiasts in India have increased from 38% to 43% in the last year, highlighting the league’s growing relevance and influence.
The league’s increased valuation reflects rising institutional faith in the franchise model of racing, which cricket and kabaddi pioneered in India. ISRL is quickly becoming an economically viable and scalable platform for investors, sponsors, and franchise owners alike, owing to its enticing combination of asset-light operations, global rider involvement, and expanded monetisation possibilities.
The conclusion of this round indicates a mature investor attitude for India’s alternative sports economy, particularly for properties with high engagement value, young appeal, and long-term IP monetisation potential.
Veer Patel, Co-Founder & Managing Director, ISRL, said, “This milestone valuation reflects the growing confidence of investors and partners in ISRL’s vision. It reinforces that motorsports, when paired with strong entertainment and commercial opportunities, can thrive in India. The increasing fan base shows we are moving in the right direction, creating a platform that connects fans, brands, and athletes in meaningful ways. I believe ISRL is helping unlock the true potential of motorsports in India, and the response from the auto ecosystem and beyond has been very encouraging.”
ISRL has seen over 50% year-on-year growth in rider involvement, inviting racers from the United States, Australia, South Africa, and Europe to participate in India. The league has evolved as a destination for new-age fans, combining action sports, music, lifestyle, and young culture into a single dynamic experience.
Season 2 will begin with the inaugural race on October 25-26, 2025, and ISRL promises larger races, immersive fan zones, and more corporate interaction. Franchise owners now work at the intersection of sport, business, and entertainment, as India embraces motorsports as a mainstream commercial platform.
