Islamabad United signs renewal with The Citizens Foundation

The Citizens Foundation is Pakistan’s prominent organization for providing education to the underprivileged.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, Islamabad United (ISLU) has extended its partnership with The Citizens Foundation (TCF) for the seventh season of the competition. Through this continued association, the non-profit organization would act as the official Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partner of the popular team.

The inaugural champions announced this renewal through a feature post on their Instagram handle that said, “Islamabad United to continue its partnership with tcfpak as our CSR partners for the HBL PSL 7.”

The Citizens Foundation is Pakistan’s prominent organization for providing education to the underprivileged. Founded in 1995 by a group of rational citizens, the firm now has 1687 schools under its umbrella with around 275,000 students.

Islamabad United is one of the most successful teams in PSL history, winning the competition twice. The franchise’s home stadium is the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and the franchise also contains notable players like Asif Ali, Hasan Ali and many more led by the young allrounder, Shadab Khan. The team has recently also signed some key sponsorship deals such as partnership extension with CityFM89 and MoU agreement with Radio Pakistan.

Considering the brand value of the PSL teams, numerous major brands have got on board as sponsors for the tournament’s seventh edition. Lahore Qalandars has associated with Marina Sports City and PUBG Mobile, similarly, Multan Sultans have announced a new partnership with Mukhtar A. Sheikh HospitalQuetta Gladiators has signed an extension with the BRB Group, meanwhile, Karachi Kings have inked renewals with Imtiaz Super Market and GFS Builders and Developers while also appointing Pakistan State Oil as a commercial partner.

The domestic Pakistan league is starting from January 27 and Islamabad United would play its first game of the season on January 30 against the Peshawar Zalmi.
