The Indian Super League (ISL) club, Mumbai City FC have announced a new associate partnership with Matix, promoted by Nishant Kanodia.
The association is a strategic alignment between two companies dedicated to performance, discipline, and long-term value development. As part of this partnership, the Matix brand will be featured as the Jersey Pendant on the first team’s matchday uniforms, as well as prominently displayed at the NMSA training facility and the Mumbai Football Arena.
The alliance aims to use the scope and professionalism of India’s primary football platform to motivate young Indians to pursue sports, live healthy lifestyles, and adopt a performance-oriented attitude.
Nishant Kanodia, Chairman of Matix Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited, said, “Football represents excellence, discipline, and national aspiration. Supporting a professional club like Mumbai City FC reflects our belief that elite sport has the power to inspire millions of young Indians to pursue fitness, teamwork, and resilience. This partnership is about aligning with a performance driven institution and contributing to the broader growth of Indian football.”
Kandarp Chandra, CEO of Mumbai City FC, added, “We are pleased to welcome Matix into our partner ecosystem. Their long-term orientation and belief in performance excellence align with our ambition to consistently compete at the highest level and strengthen Indian football’s global standing.”
India’s long-term football ambitions go beyond domestic success. As Indian clubs develop more exposure in continental events, the next step is to develop Indian talent so that it can regularly compete at the top international levels. Matix sees this relationship as unified with the greater national goal of increasing Indian players’ visibility in global qualifying processes, especially those leading to Olympic participation and future FIFA World Cup campaigns. While such milestones need long-term institutional work from all stakeholders, investing in top professional platforms remains a vital building element in increasing India’s global football competitiveness.
Matix and Mumbai City FC will collaborate to engage fans and communities by creating organised digital content, matchday activations, and programs that encourage physical health and responsible sporting culture. The emphasis is on promoting sport as a motivator for ambition, well-being, and national pride.
Matix and Mumbai City FC collaborate to create a more performance-driven, ambitious, and internationally competitive football environment in India.
