Chennaiyin FC, a prominent team in the Indian Super League (ISL), have announced a partnership with Simple Energy, an Indian-origin electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer.
As part of the pact, the brand has become the Marina Machans’ official mobility partner for the ISL 2025-26 season.
Simple Energy will benefit from significant brand integration throughout Chennaiyin FC’s match and training ecosystem, including placement on the back of the team’s match and training shorts. The brand will also be shown during LIVE home games via LED perimeter boards and certain in-stadium assets at the Marina Arena, assuring continuous visibility throughout the season.
The agreement will also include digital integrations across the club’s official channels, as well as access to specific club brand assets and player interaction possibilities.
Chennaiyin FC’s COO Akhil Prakash, said, “We’re pleased to welcome Simple Energy as our Official Mobility Partner. As a future-focused brand from India, Simple Energy aligns strongly with Chennaiyin FC’s values of performance, innovation, and responsibility. This partnership allows us to strengthen our sustainability narrative while engaging young, urban fans across Tamil Nadu in meaningful ways—both on and off the pitch.”
The alliance brings together two youth, forward-thinking companies that operate in distinct but increasingly merging markets. Chennaiyin FC, a long-standing presence in Indian football with a large regional following, has partnered with a firm that is at the forefront of sustainable transportation. Simple Energy’s performance-driven electric scooters, such as the Simple One and Simple OneS, reflect a broader push for innovative, high-performance solutions designed for a new generation.
Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO, Simple Energy, stated, “Chennaiyin FC stands for ambition and a strong connection with its community—values that mirror how we build at Simple Energy. Mobility, like football, is driven by momentum and belief. This partnership reflects our commitment to Tamil Nadu and to empowering fans and riders with performance-driven technology built for real-world India. Together with Chennaiyin FC, we want the next generation to Ride Untamed—on the pitch, on the road, and beyond.”
Simple Energy inaugurated its Chennai shop in 2025 and now maintains 15 locations around Tamil Nadu, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the state. Simple Energy gains access to a highly engaged football audience in Tamil Nadu, while Chennaiyin FC strengthens its relationship with forward-thinking partners devoted to long-term impact and expanding fan communities.
The cooperation will be noticeable throughout the ISL 2026 season, beginning with Chennaiyin FC’s forthcoming games, as both companies strive to improve performance on and off the pitch.
Along with Simple Energy, the club has also roped in Indian Super Gaming League (ISGL), Lifeline Hospitals and SSVM Institutions as sponsors for the ongoing season.
