The Indian Super League (ISL) team, Punjab FC have inked a sponsorship agreement with the online sports news portal, DafaNews.
As part of the deal, the leading sports news platform has been named the club’s principal sponsor for the upcoming season.
Punjab FC, who are participating in their second ISL season after being the first I-League team to be promoted to the league, are scheduled to take on Kerala Blasters FC (KBFC) in their first outing at Kochi on September 15.

Punjab FC began the 2024-25 season with an impressive quarterfinal finish at Asia’s oldest football event, the Durand Cup. In the group stages, the squad defeated Mumbai City FC (MCFC) and CISF Protectors XI before drawing with Kerala Blasters to go to the quarterfinals. In the last eight, the unit lost to Mohun Bagan Super Giant (MBSG) in a penalty shootout after the match finished 3-3 in regular time.
