Bengaluru FC, one of India’s top football clubs, have made a major move toward sustainability by joining forces with Neo San, a leader in innovative waste management solutions.
This strategic partnership is set to transform the way the club handles waste at its home ground, the Sri Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium.
The collaboration aims to achieve a “zero waste to landfill” goal, a significant milestone in environmental responsibility. Throughout the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season, Neo San will deploy advanced, high-efficiency incinerators at the stadium to process waste generated during matches and other events. These state-of-the-art machines will ensure that none of the stadium’s waste ends up in landfills, aligning with Bengaluru FC’s commitment to sustainable practices.
Commenting on the occasion, Divyanshu Singh, Chief Operating Officer of JSW Sports, said, “At Bengaluru FC, we recognize the role we play in the community and the need for us to adopt sustainability practices across all facets of the club. Our goal is to work towards achieving net zero emissions. We took the first step last season by collaborating with Hasiru Dala to ensure total waste management for all our matchdays at the Kanteerava Stadium.
“This season, we’re partnering with Neo San which specializes in creating sustainable waste management solutions using advanced technology and they have been on the forefront of eco-friendly waste handling. Through this partnership, we aim to be a club which is not just a football champion but also champions sustainability.”
Dhwaj Bagrecha, Co-founder and CEO, Neo San, said, “We, at Neo San, have a dream of creating a world free of burning dumps, landfills and open, unattended garbage. Joining hands with BFC, a football club with such a rich heritage and ardent supporters in the community, will go a long way in creating a positive societal impact while applying our technology. We are extremely happy to collaborate with BFC to achieve our shared dream of a cleaner city!”
